Since the release of the Big Bad Wolf pattern I've been working on my first childrenswear design. I've finished the first sample knit and I'm about to make one in a different size. It won't be long before this one goes to the testers - so exciting! It's an easy knit with enough of a twist to make it cool and interesting. It's a sleeveless design for little boys.

My next toy pattern is finished and being tested!!!
I'm very pleased with him! As soon as testing is complete I'll be releasing the pattern for sale :)

I've started on the next design - still a toy but something a little different this time :)
All I'm saying is that it's a BAD toy, MWA HA HA HA HAAAAAAAAAA

I am also working on a Christmas giveaway pattern, hoping to have it done soon so I can give all the crafty people out there a present. So much to do...

... well I didn't manage to get a new pattern done, but I decided to put up an old favourite as a Christmas freebie. Check it out on my free patterns page :)
Could be good as a quick stocking filler. xxx

The next outfit is for Clayborne, (Constance's name when she's dressed as a boy). It's underway and I'm hoping that it won't take as long as the last one, I know that some of you are knitting the doll as Christmas presents and I'm trying to get as much done before Christmas as I can. I'm having an operation just before Christmas, with 4 weeks expected recovery time so I should get a lot of knitting done then - perhaps some Easter projects would be fun!

Wow, that was a lot of work but finally Constance has her first outfit!  YAY!!!
I have so many designed for her it does get frustrating, but I'm so fussy too that I'm not able to just 'knock 'em out'.

It's been a mission but the 'From the Attic' pattern is nearly done!
It needs matching ribbon, a bonnet and shoes, (I'm working on the bonnet at the mo).
The colours were inspired by the theme - a sun and time faded doll, found in the attic. My husband didn't like the colours at all but I love a bit of 'dark and mysterious' with my fairy tales.
Other outfits I design for her won't be quite as traditional but I thought it was a good place to start, a solid foundation in tradition and then....  well I have some plans but I don't want to ruin the surprise ;)

My daughter is asking me to make knitted poos and wees for Constance's nappy so she an change her!
Perhaps I should offer a free Constance pattern for the best knitted response to this!

It's great to have the website up and running! I'm working furiously away on a dress pattern for Constance and to give you a clue as to the design style, it's called 'From the Attic'. I will be making a matching themed outfit for her brother Clayborne. (Clayborne is actually the same doll as Constance, but I wanted to make boys outfits too. So when she's wearing girl clothes she's Constance and when she's wearing boy clothes she's Clayborne.)

I chose the names because of their meanings. Constance - because she's constant, never changing, a doll. Clayborne because of it's reference to sculpture. When I was designing the doll I felt like I was sculpting her with increases and decreases.
